Mahesh Babu tests positive for Covid-19: ‘Can’t wait to be back’

Actor-Producer Mahesh Baboo has tested positive for COVID-19. The Telugu superstar took to social media on Thursday and shared his health diagnosis. He said he had contracted the virus “despite taking all necessary precautions.”

Mahesh Baboo‘s full message read, “To all my fans and benefactors. Despite taking all necessary precautions, I tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms. I isolated myself at home and followed medical supervision. Ask anyone who has come in contact with me to get tested. I urge anyone who has not yet been vaccinated to do so immediately as it reduces the chance of serious symptoms and hospitalization. Follow COVID standards and stay safe. I can’t wait to be back. Love.”

Mahesh Babu recently praised Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: the rise, who called the actor’s performance “stunning, original and sensational.” The film has become one of the biggest hits of 2021 and is also penetrating the Hindi belt.

Last month, Mahesh Babu starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata the planned release of January 13 postponed. It was intended to make way for SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which would collide with Sarkaru Vaari Paata on the Sankranthi weekend. Rajamouli had also thanked Mahesh Babu for taking the initiative to avoid the clash. However, RRR also eventually had to relocate due to increasing Covid-19 cases across the country.

While Sarkaru Vaari Paata has now booked April 1, 2022 as the new release date, RRR remains undated. Mahesh Babu’s next production venture is Major.
