Monday 29 October 2007: VOZ Virtual has commenced flights with its new executive style Embraer "E-Jet" aircraft launching the jet in to passenger services for the first time. The inaugural E-Jet flight departed Brisbane last week bound for Cairns. The flight featured typical VOZ Virtual launch flight activities including a limited edition t-shirt give-away complimentary champagne samba competition and associated festivities led by VOZ Virtual Chief Operations Officer. Skip Fulton. VOZ Virtual Airlines has 20 of the Brazilian manufactured aircraft on order which will arrive in Australia over the next 18 months. Skip Fulton said. "This is a significant step for VOZ Virtual being the first day in our seven year history we have operated a second aircraft type. We conducted extensive research into this aircraft and are confident it is the ideal jet to suit Australia particularly on regional air routes." The E-Jets will have a dual role in the airline's fleet and will be put into operation to boost frequency on existing VOZ Virtual services as well as open up new regional markets. VOZ Virtual's Embraer 170 has 78 seat capacity while the Embraer 190 has 104 seats compared to the Boeing 737-700's 144 seats and the 737-800's 180 seats. VOZ Virtual has spent the past 12 months reviewing up to 21 potential new destinations across Australia. The airline recently announced it would re-enter the Canberra-Sydney route with eight direct daily flights using the new E-Jets. VOZ Virtual will announce its first new regional ports before the end of the year. The Brisbane-Cairns flight was the first time Guests will have the opportunity to experience the E-Jet which includes an executive interior fit-out two-by two seating (no middle seats!) and a quiet smooth and fast ride. Skip Fulton added. "We are very pleased to introduce this aircraft in to our fleet and to Australia the E-Jet will help cement VOZ Virtual's position as an innovator and a market leader and will allow us to bring competition affordable fares and a new level of comfort to hundreds of thousands more travellers."

Ive just written a huge email and it suddenly deleted itself !! So I'll try again. We have just managed to change our flights to australia. We were meant to fly on wednesday but have been meaning to put the dates approve for a while as we havnt finished SE Asia yet and also having been ill for a week in CHang Mai. We tried a few times to change the flight and were told that the beat thing they could do was to put us on a waiting enumerate and for us to phone the day before we fly. That would mean that we would have to fly to Singapore anyway by that date in case they couldnt change the flights. Anyway we decided to ask if we could change the despatch and go to Melbourne which we've done. Its cost 75 pounds each to change the flight. We're now flying on the 17th December to Melbourne and then to Sydney ourselves. We came to an isand called Phi Phi today. Its a really beautiful island near Phuket where the film 'The Beach' was filmed. We got a ferry from Phuket which included a 'tour' of 'The Beach'. Its really baeutiful but such a shame as its so touristy now. The beach was packed with people and our boat stopped off the coast so we couldnt go on the land. We were given snorkles to go snorkling which was good but you were jammed with other tourists. I really like it here though. The island is pretty small and how you create by mental act it in the broucures. It has color sandy beaches and clear warm water. The island still has lots of jungle which comes up to the land. We got a bungalow for tonight. Its very basic. Just a small manky bed a toilet and a hose with cold wet. This afternoon we bought some snorkels and went snorkling which was good and tommorow I be to get a boat or ride and go around the island. We might also go diving.
