"It's happening!" posted by ~Ray

I was just up front filling my cup from the water jug up by the secretaries. OF course the jug ran out so I went to get a new one. As I flipped it up onto the bubbler. I glanced out the window and the end of a rope dropped down from above. My heart surged. “It’s finally happening!” I thought. “They’re making a break for it”. Even if only one of them makes it out and over the wall their story will spread. Soon dozens then hundreds of us will make a break succeeding or dying in the attempt.. This place will be left empty without even stress and anger to walk its hallways. The people will have won at last. 10th Amendment: Powers of states and people The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constituiton nor prohibited by it to the states are reserved to the states respectively or to the people.

Ahh--nothing like Shakespeare to find the sore wound and thrust it with a knife. I love how 'mad' Hamlet manges to goad everyone in the prefect exact way to reveal their bad side. Since we have been reading Hamlet in my lit categorise. I have had cause to cover the scenes more than I usually would when reading Shakespeare on my own. I have watched several different versions of the film and thus far find the Kenneth Branugh version to be my favorite. The look and feel is right to me when I read the play and see it enacted. But drama aside--which one might never be able to do with Hamlet--I wanted to bring it up because I feel I have found the single most pathetic and pedantic human being I have ever met. I was told this person was --shall we say singular?-- in their opinions and mode of address. Very well. I can deal with singular. What I was not expecting to find was someone in whom there is so little of self that they can only impel back words they hear like a parrot does; without any real understanding of the meaning. I believe that you cannot have an understanding or sympathy with other people in the human race unless you have an understanding of who you are as a person. What you determine and held did; where you ordain and will not go defines you. While there may exist areas in our understanding that as still gray we have a good understanding of who and what we are. Once we have achieved this we can go out and find friends and companions and learn about other people. But this person was only miming the acts of this understanding. How strange horrifying and weird to discover someone who is so flamboyantly empty. Not seeming to be aware of their own vacant state they loudly pronounced it with boasts of their talents and abundance of conceited self importance. Unfortunately this person's self importance only extents to the realm of those who are so self-abased they're over awed by someone louder than themselves. In any case the person was so proud of their vapid state that I lost patience with them. The saddest part of this person's situation is the fact that they are aware of it and still persist in the lifeless path they're in. To be unknowingly dumb is a sad and pitiable case but to know it and yet do nothing--this deserves nothing save scorn.

"Fishmonger in Vancouver?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 16:36:45

I'm looking for a displace that sells fresh fish with good selection and most important good quality. I know I could go all the way to Steveston to buy off the boats there but even then selection is often limited. I'd like to find a obtain in Burnaby or East Vancouver that can make my Japanese wife happy with a variety of tasty morsels from the sea. One of the guys from my office came around just last week offering us some leftover fish; he'd bought a big look for for about $10 off a boat in False Creek. From the description he gave. I think it was on the south shore somewhere around the Burrard Bridge. I don't know look for except that this one was tasty but my friend claims to be finicky about seafood and proclaimed it high quality. Another office-mate also said you can go to the Musqueam reservation on the Fraser River near UBC and get amazing deals though it is illegal because their fishing rights do not accept them to sell to the public posted by at on November 18 It's not East Vancouver I'm afraid but my friend works in The Salmon Shop in the Granville Island Public merchandise and is always coming home with lovely cuts of various fish--it's independantly run and the staff be really knowledgeable posted by at on November 19

"Seafood Market/Fishmonger near Myrtle Beach/Litchfield?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-09 14:50:49

I'll be in Litchfield this weekend and need to find a good place to buy seafood (fresh fish but I don't eat shellfish) to cook for dinner Friday. I'll be shopping there mid-day Friday. Any places? I've scoured the boards but can't cause anything. Any local or seasonal specialities? 4883 Highway 17Murrell's Inlet. SC 29576(843) 651-7398 They are located north of Litchfield. While not strictly a seafood market they do undergo some seafood (whatever is running) and furnish a fine selection of imported cheeses fresh vegetables and fruits excellent Italian olive oils handcut to request usda fix steaks and other foods equally impossible to find in local supermarkets. If you don't sight what you're looking for there they will be happy to point you in the alter direction. They are located on the east align of the main move of US17 not US17 Business. US17 Bus takes you into Murrell's Inlet proper. Look for a large wooden write set back off the highway. They are in a stand-alone building that appears to be an old accommodate with unpaved parking set among a large rest of trees. Lee's is my first stop whenever I go to the coast. Happy shopping. This is an excellent place. However they do not change any fishThey do change great sausageLocal fish is sold jut behind Lee's just ask No look for true. But I have bought some really nice local shrimp there several times. If they don't undergo what you're in examine of just ask and they'll have the skinny lowdown on where to get some. Murrell's Inlet Seafood (843.651.9309). 4886 Business Hwy. 17 has very good local seafood. Harrellsons Seafood and Murrells Inlet Seafood both in the inlet have great seafood. There is actually another seafood market in Murrells Inlet but the name escapes me.
